Dear Friends, Family, Co-Workers, and Business Associates:

I am reaching out to you in support of a very special cause. As a member of the Tinkerbell Guild, I have registered to participate in the upcoming 2008 CHOC/Disneyland® Resort Walk in the Park to help raise money for Children's Hospital of Orange County. It's only 33 days until the CHOC Charity Walk and I need help to make my fundraising goal!!! No donation is too small! (Instructions to sponsor me are at the bottom of this email message.)

The Tinkerbell Guild is an organization that works to acquaint the community with CHOC’s (Childrens Hospital of Orange County) mission and raise money for the many needs of the hospital. CHOC is the only private, non-for-profit hospital in Orange County dedicated solely to meeting the healthcare needs of children. I challenge you to join us in showing your support for the 250,000 children CHOC cares for yearly.

This year we are forming the team “Tinkerbells for Taylor.” Our team is named in honor of our special inspiration Taylor Hook, who lives in Ladera Ranch with her mom, dad and brother. In April 2008 when Taylor was 11 months old, she was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Shortly after she was diagnosed by the pediatric oncology team at CHOC in Orange and was told her cancer was in Stage II. Taylor completed a 7 week chemotherapy treatment plan at the brand new CHOC Infusion Center in Orange. On July 14, 2008, her doctors told her that the chemotherapy was a success and she is now in remission. Now Taylor is happy at home with her family thanks to all the doctors who continue to care for her at CHOC!

I would feel truly blessed if you would join Me, the Tinkerbell Guild of CHOC and our team “Tinkerbells for Taylor” in participating in the CHOC Walk on October 19, 2008 at Disneyland. CHOC Walk is Children’s Hospital of Orange County’s premiere fundraising event the whole family can enjoy together with live music, and favorite Disneyland characters.

I also encourage you to forward this invitation to your friends and family members who may be interested in participating in this rewarding event. The Tinkerbell Guild is still looking for corporate sponsors, so if you know anyone who would be interested in donating at the corporate level, please let us know as soon as possible. We would like to recognize donations of $500, $750, $1500 and above by putting your business name on our team shirt. All donations are tax deductible.
